How will I know that my unit will fit onsite?
If you have any doubts concerning the space onsite to fit a unit, it can be arranged for one of our dedicated account managers to come out and assess the site beforehand. For complex installations, as part of the Mobile Mini service, an experienced site management team will be put in place, who will always visit the site beforehand and will be available at all hours to deal with any enquiries or issues.
How do I prepare my site for the delivery of a unit?
Please ensure your site is fully prepared for delivery on a HIAB (craned) or articulated delivery lorry. If you are concerned about site access or ground conditions please contact us well in advance of delivery or collection so that we can discuss the options with you. Unless we have agreed otherwise, you are responsible for the provision and connection of mains services and drainage.
Can you do site visits before delivery takes place?
We will always carry out a site visit beforehand for complex installations or on sites where access may be a concern to ensure that delivery and site set-up runs as smoothly as possible.

Delivery
What is the hiring process?
Once we have received your Purchase Order, your dedicated Account Manager will contact you to confirm the order and delivery requirements. A reservation is then made and confirmed with the nearest branch where your unit will be scheduled for delivery as advised. You are advised to contact your Account Manager to arrange the collection of a unit.
How long will delivery take?
Our usual lead time is 2 working days for a single standard storage container and 5 working days for a single standard accommodation unit from the day the order was received. All lead times are subject to the availability of stock.
Am I able to arrange a specific time for delivery or collection?
Due to factors outside of our control (traffic, holdup on sites etc.), we cannot guarantee a specific time of delivery or collection. All units will normally be delivered between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm. We will always endeavour to meet early/late or am/pm requests but cannot guarantee this and additional charges may apply. The driver will always call and let you know when they are close to the site. If a driver has to wait onsite to off-load or collect a unit for longer than 30 minutes a waiting charge will apply.

How will the unit be transported?
Our fleet of crane arm delivery lorries will transport your units directly to your site. All Mobile Mini’s lorry loader cranes conform and are certified to current specific Health & Safety legislation. The units are lifted from the lorries by our CPCS/ALLMI accredited drivers, who are equipped with all suitable personal protective equipment and are fully conversant with all current safety legislation, and have received comprehensive and consistent internal and external height safety training to ensure the highest standards are achieved. Mobile Mini offers a pioneering bottom-lifting method that makes the delivery, off-loading and positioning of the unit much safer for client and driver. For complex installations, we have dedicated CPCS Appointed Persons who will undertake a site visit and then prepare a suitable specific method statement and risk assessment, together with a lifting plan, with safety at the very forefront.

What we offers
Can i inspects the containers?
Yes, you most certainly can. Our depot is located at 465-467 Somerville Rd, Brooklyn. The sales office is open 7.30am to 5.00pm and we are open Saturday mornings. Alternatively we can email or message you photographs
What condition are the used containers in?
Used containers are generally released from shipping lines for resale after they have been written down on their books for about ten years. So a container straight out of shipping will likely be at least ten years old. Expect a few exterior dints and/or patches (they have been around the world a few times don’t forget). We also offer refurbished containers which have had the interior floor sanded and painted.
What condition are the doors in? Do they work?
Every container is checked in our workshop prior to release. The door gaskets and locking mechanisms are inspected to ensure they are all in good working order.
Do they have timber floors or steel?
Most floors are marine timber ply but there are also some with steel floors.
What colours are available?
The most common are blue or brown however we do offer a repainting service in which your container can be custom painted to a colour of your choice.
What size shipping containers are available?
What is the difference between a standard and a high cube shipping container?
The difference is the height of exactly one foot, giving it extra storage capacity.
How do I pay if I purchase a container?
Payment is required prior to delivery. We accept payments via direct deposit (EFT), Cheque, Cash, Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa and American Express cards.
Will you buy the container back once I’ve finished with it?
Yes we do, however bear in mind when we quote a buy-back price that we have to consider transport costs and the amount of time the container will be in storage with us before we can resell it.
How quickly can I have a container delivered?
Delivery is usually booked at the time of your order.
What delivery options do I have? (for further information please see our transport page)
When placing your order we will discuss which type of truck will be best suited for your needs. Most commonly we’ll use tilt tray and side loaders. A tilt tray truck reverses to the delivery point and the tray will tilt to the ground with the container sliding off the back A side loader lifts the container off the driver’s side and place 1 metre beside the trucks trailer.
Can I get the container into position where I want it so I don’t need a crane?
It may be possible but a lot depends on access
Can I arrange my own transport?
Yes absolutely you can, but you need to make a Containerchain booking. Also for safety reasons all transport vehicles must have twist lock mechanisms as we do not allow operators to climb on top of the container.
Do the containers need to be supported when placed down or can they go straight on the ground?
Can containers be modified?
Yes, they can! Just ask one our friendly staff team members and have your plans ready.
How much do you charge for modifications?
Prices will depend on what your specific requirements are so it’s best to contact our sales team for a definite quote.
